The mother will do all the nursing and grooming in the first week or so, afterward, or even before, make sure there is some moist cat food and water ready for their transition. Just a bit and make sure it is fresh and changed often. If they wean off of their mothers too soon, or mother rejects, check with a vet about bottle feeding or dropper feeding and the right formula. Just cows milk will not do the trick and can be hard on kittens
