Answer Question

It was in the year 1911 when the first anarchist movement appeared in Spain. The movement arose from federation of workers' and peasants' union and named as the Spanish National Confederation of Labour or CNT. The movement was inspired from French anarcho-syndicalism. The goal of CNT was to get rid of capitalism and establish a state of anarchist-communist. They believed that they could achieve their goal only if the means of production were in their hands, so that they could produce and distribute goods in the interest of the community.

The organization was a non-hierarchical one, and every union was grouped according to the trade they were involved in. Those unions joined together in district federations and consequently grouped into regions. It was well known that none of the union members were paid and all the activities were occurring after the work hours.
