What Is The Capital Of Kenya?

The capital of Kenya is Nairobi.
Kenya is located on the east coast of Africa and Nairobi is situated in the south-west of the country. It has a population of approximately 2,750,000 people and is set to reach a population of 5 million by the year 2015.

Nairobi is the tourist centre and base for safaris, although it does also have it's own Nairobi National Park on the edge of the city. However, many safari tourists fly into Nairobi and spend a couple of nights in a choice of 5 star hotels, before transferring to the more game-famous Masai Mara.
Nairobi is lively and modern and has been the capital since 1905 when it took over from Mombasa.

The city has several reputable and important cities including the University of Nairobi which is the oldest in Kenya. It is also home to the United States International University which has branches across the world.
