Can Anyone Tell Me The Types Of An Invoice?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Invoice or in other words a bill of lading is recognized as a commercial and marketable document. In fact, it is issued by the company to the customer when he buys their product. This receipt contains the product name, price date and some other details regarding the product that has been purchased. The major benefit of an invoice is that it helps both the customers and sellers as well while having product dealings. Some organizations have maintained their separate accounts payable departments to accept, confirm and then process the invoices for products. There are various types of invoices that can be preferred by companies according to the requirements of their business or dealings they have with their customers and these types are:

    Pro forma Invoice
    Credit Memo
    Debit Memo
    Self Billing Invoice
    Timesheet
Invoicing (Moreover, this term is used to refer to the process of delivering luggage to a flight band in an airport earlier than taking a flight)
    Statement
    Progress billing

Different systems prefer different sort of invoices according to their requirements and circumstances. All these types of invoices have different billing formats and are used by both the customers and the sellers when required. Some of these are used periodically for delivering products; such invoices also contain history of previous transactions.
