Sickle Cell Anemia is the result from mutations in DNA between two individuals chromosomes. I have a sickle cell trait. I passed it down to one child but not the other child I had. The child who had the trait, she had a child with a man who also carried the trait. They had a child with sickle cell anemia. Large S chromosomes (imagine a tic-tac-toe board) Large S in the middle and small s also making up the board. Small s Large S and so on until more over count the other. If a person has the trait but, the other parent does not the child will either, have the trait or have no trait.
