    First past the post or winner-takes-all voting system is commonly used in England and Wales. In this voting system, in which the winner is chosen on having most votes. Plurality Voting system is also used to elect executive officers.

        The following voting systems are in use in England and Wales (accurate to September 2007)

        Majority Voting (Winner Takes All, First Past the Post): Elections to Single Member County and District Wards, Elections to Westminster, Elections to Constituency Members in London

        Additional Member System: Regional Members for the Welsh Assembly and London Assembly

        d'Hondt PR: European Elections
