    Popping Noise When My Computer Is Turned On, The Light On The Front Flashes At About A 8 Per Second. Is This A Hard Drive Problem Or Power Supply?

    E-Machine, will not boot up, popping noise when turned on, light flashes at a rapid pace on the front, is this a power supply problem or hard drive?

    I think it is the power supply. I've heard them make popping noises before but I've never heard the hard drive make any sound like that. The other symptoms point to that as well.
