Do Tenant/landlord Rights Apply If We Have Been Paying Rent On A Unit But Never Signed Or Saw A Lease Agreement?

I am new to Blurtit and would like to ask questions but I am not sure how to fill in the ask question section on the site itself.

You have successfully asked a question and I am answering it. The answer to your question is very simple. When there is no agreement involved then there is no compulsion on you to abide by the rights of the landlord. But be very vigilant that you landlord can pull you out anytime with any agreement. You will not have any legal right then to claim then.

I am not sure of specific laws in your state, but of course after ten years there will be wear and tear on the property. It may need new paint, plumbing, electrical, whatever. If you guys took immaculate care, he could still find something wrong after ten years. I don't think it would be worth the time and costs too fight it. Good fortune
