My Lower Back Has Been Aching For A Week Or So, Is That A Sign Of Pregnancy?

It is about 22 days since my last period. I normally have around a 30 day cycle. For the last week I have been having a mild lower backache is this a sign of pregnancy?

Well it is very much possible to be pregnant on the 22nd day of a 30 day cycle, and backaches are one of the signs but we cannot say that its a determinative factor. It would be better to get it checked. Good luck!

Some get low back pain prior to having your period.  This has been attributed to the uterine lining being thick and fluffy!  From experience and from the literature Ive read, low back pain does often happen during the second and third trimester of pregnancy, due to "lordosis" or your back in a state of flexion, accomodating that tummy.  You may reconize the term "SWAY BACK" better.

Anything is possible, not everyone follows the textbooks when it comes to pregnancy.  There are pregnancy tests on the market now, that claims to give you  a positive or negative on pregnancy 10 days before your period.  One other test that is a Probable sign of pregnancy is a blood test for Beta HCG:  Human Chorionic Gonadatropin, a hormone secreted at conception, in blood and urine.  (this is what pregnancy tests use.)

If all this seems like TOO much, you should know by this date of my answer, YAY OR NAY!!  Good luck!
