Steven D. Levitt's, Freakonomics was published in 2005 and gained a lot of fame as a best seller. It is ranked 2nd among the non-fiction books in the best seller list of New York Times. It was also awarded as the Book Sense Book of the Year in the Adult Nonfiction category in the year 2006. This book contains an anthology of economic articles written by Levitt. It is very popular because unlike other economic it is not dragging and tedious.
He has used economics to link it with diverse topics and unconventional subjects. Thus Levitt has put together a delightful book which is both informative and interesting. He is a prominent American economist and works at the University of Chicago as the Alvin H. Baum Professor of Economics. He is also the director of the Becker Center on Chicago Price Theory.
