Your dog is probably suffering from constipation. Just like human beings dogs can sometimes suffer constipation. If there are no other symptoms like a blocked urethra then it is a complication that can be sorted out without going to the vet. One of the most commonly used remedy is the canned pumpkin. One can also feed the dog on milk, oat bran or Metamucil.
