According To Aesop's Fable, How Was The Camel Created?

Answer Question

The horse went to the god Zeus and complained, "I am not designed for the work men expect of me." "So how should you be designed?" asked Zeus. The horse decided that he would like the neck of a swan, so he could see further. He wanted his legs made twice as long, so he could travel longer distances without tiring. Most of all, he wanted a large hump on his back to hold water, so he could cross the desert without getting thirsty. Zeus laughed, but agreed to create such a beast so the horse could see what it looked like.
What he created was, of course, a camel. The horse was horrified and fled from the new beast, saying that he would much rather stay as he was. Zeus, on the other hand, realised that he had accidentally created a fine, valuable animal, and decided to keep it. Even now, though, horses are said to be often terrified when they first see a camel.
