Body language is a period for communication via body movements or gestures (such as the Pinocchio Syndrome) instead of, or in adding up to, sounds, verbal language or other message. It forms part of the category of paralanguage, which describes all forms of human communication that are not verbal language. This includes the most subtle of travels that numerous people are not alert of, counting winking and slight group of the eyebrows. In addition body language can also fit in the use of facial expressions.
Paralanguage, including body verbal communication, has been extensively studied in social psychology.

In common idiom and popular psychology, the term is most often applied to body verbal communication that is measured involuntary, even though the distinction between voluntary and involuntary body language is often contentious. For example, a smile may be produced either consciously or automatically. Voluntary body language refers to pressure group, gestures and poses intentionally made by a being (e.g., cognizant smiling, hand movements and imitation). It can apply to many types of soundless statement. Generally, association completed with full or partial aim and a thoughtful of what it communicates can be considered intended.
