You could put the rooster in with the hen and they would be fertile in an hour , but i would leave the rooster in with the hen for at least 3 days ! And then pull your rooster out and let your hen lay all the eggs she's going to lay and then when she starts sitting mark that date on your calendar and in 21-22 days you will have some baby chicks!!

Well that depends on the rooster he can cover up to 10 hens. Once he breeds a hen she is fertile for 6 days.
