How Do I Open Documents Written With Apple Works On My Laptop With Microsoft Windows Vista?

Many years ago, I was given a CD with a large portion of my researched family history on it. I tried many times to open it, but I couldn't. Now that I am a bit more savvy re: Computers, I realize that the history was compiled on a totally different program. "Apple works. " I am currently using Windows Vista and am stumped as to how I should proceed. I've noticed that some of the history is in PDF file, yet I STILL cannot get to the plethora of information. Do I need an apple computer?

You just need to copy the data to a program which is compatible with Windows and Apple. Apple works doesn't work on it. Put the CD in any apple computer/laptop and all your problem will be solved. As for the PDF format files you need to have a Acrobat Reader!
