How Can I Chase The Blues Away?
Once in a while, I get sad. When I call a friend and my friend does not pick up the phone, is being rude, or cuts the conversation, I feel so rejected. Any suggestions on what to do to cope?

Sounds like you have a very self centered friend, I don't mean to step over my boundaries here, but this person seems to like to keep you on the back burner. Does this person expect you to be there when she wants something? I think you might benefit from finding yourself a better friend than this. Take a walk, and talk to people in the park if that is where you decide to walk. People like to talk about things when they are having a good time in the park. You can't expect it to happen overnight, as real friends are rare on this earth. I will always be here if you want to talk, I hope you know that. I am here most of the time, and I think you are an interesting person. Hope this helps.

Get a new friend who cares about you. And until then, put on your favorite music really loud and sing out loud. Maybe even dance around. Maybe close the curtains first. But that's just me. A true friend is someone who will listen to you and your problems. No matter what. My friends know that they can call me any time and I will listen. No matter what. And I can call them. Keep looking. You will find a better friend. Hang in there. It will get better.

I wish there was a cure-all, life is and can be very lonely! It seems that a lot of the times when you really need that someone there is no one. Even when you are there for them it doesn't guarantee that they will be there for you. The only thing I have found to overcome these feelings is to occupy myself with something else that I am not use to, like cleaning the closet or garage! Lol I get the feelings just like you and you should at least find comfort in the fact that you are not alone. This is one reason why I visit Blurt it, it takes my mind off what I don't need to think of sometimes and cheers me up a lot more than one would think it could, it's a diversion and sometimes helping others and finding that the way you feel is not just your feelings but others as well can help a lot to diminish the loneliness and anxiety that life tends to accumulate on one's shoulders.

Have faith and pray for help with your problems. God is listening to you even if you think he isn't. He loves you and wants the best for you. I have been going thru some depression for months now and it always seems to help when i look to god for answers or help. Believe me I have not always been a big God fan but recently have changed my mind. I have seen what he can do for myself and others!!

Not to sound unsympathizing but maybe your friend has enough on her plate and can't deal with any more problems. Next couple of times you talk, keep the conversation upbeat and happy and your friend will be more inclined to talk.
