I Live In A Fairly New 3 Story Townhouse - Everytime I Turn On The 2nd Floor Bathroon Faucet Or Use The Outside Spicket The Pipes Rattle Throughout The House And Make A Loud Errie Sound,short Of Calling Ghostbusters How Can I Fix This?

It may be the ball valve in your toilet. Next time you hear the sound listen to your toilets. It may be one of them,you may not have any air chambers. In most cases it's the toilet.. Good Luck!

We had the same problem, everytime you turned on the water in the shower, it would rattle the pipes. If they used copper pipes they most likely didn't fasten them down inside the walls and the pressure on the makes the rattle when you turn them on. That was our problem. We had to find out where the noise was when the pipes were turned on the we removed some of the dry wall and used a clamp to fasten them to a stud in the wall, after pinning them down we turn the water on and it no longer rattles.
