When I did my Masters Degree I had several courses that were online learning done in an asynchronous format. I have always been a good student and showing up usually sufficed for the ability to absorb enough info to get good grades. I also never participated much in classroom settings. My online learning experience was much more intensive than anything I had done before because of the mandatory participations in postings and readings to validate knowledge transfer. One or two on line courses was enough a semester as between readings and assignments, I spent several hours a night participating in and responding to learning topics. Bottom line your study habits from high school will not be useful at all.
