Leslie is a girl’s name and it can be traced back to Scottish and Gaelic origins. The meaning of Leslie is “holly garden”. According to some, there is another meaning of the name and that is “gray Castle”. It is actually a place name and the name was initially given to people who lived in or near a garden.
