What Information Is Need For Loan Modification Letter?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

How "collect-able" are you?  What I mean by that is if you're completely up front about what assets you have (bank accounts, stocks, and whatnot) and what income you have would a lender think you can pay your current payment?  I know this isn't the type of answer you're looking for but keep in mind that if you submit stuff today that is substantially different than your circumstances were when you got the loan the lender is going to want to know why the difference.  If it turned out somebody "fudged the numbers" on your original loan then that person could be in for a rude surprise, including bank fraud charges.

I don't mean to offend but lots of people are blindly submitting whatever a bank wants to get a loan modified on a house they either don't want anymore or has payments they think should simply be lower.  To do that they're submitting "doom and gloom".  When they got the loan they submitted "warm and fuzzy".  Neither were probably 100% accurate.  The lesson?  Don't dig your own grave.

Bottom line?  Get REAL legal help.  Yes, it'll cost a few bucks.
