    The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association is also known as ECPA in its shortened form. It refers to a non-profit trade organization which operates internationally. This organization has 260 member companies across the world. ECPA aims at spreading excellence among Christian publishers. This organization has been in existence since 1974. It has combined revenue of $2.3 billion annually. It gives away the Christian Book Awards in many subjects like fiction, theology and youth since 1978.

    The concept of ECPA is that co-operation between publishers is more important than competitiveness. Apart from the Christian Book Awards they also give several other awards such as Book of The Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Chairperson's Award and Gold/Platinum/Diamond Book Award.
