    What Is Meant By An I.P. Address Of An System? How To Know It For My System?

    In Indiana, is it merely a deduction or can I get a refund as well? I am eligible for the earned income credit and receive a refund from it. I have 3 dependents and do not make over the income limit. Is there a minimum wage amount I have to gross? I don't understand. Please help

      The IP address of a system is a number issued by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) It contains information that Identifies your system on the web.

      Click Start
      Click Run
      Type CMD (Enter key)
      Type IPConfig

      IP Address also known as "Internet Protocol Address" ia an unique address given to an system in a TCP/IP network. This system may be any device within a network or connected to a network.It may be a computer, a printer, a scanner etc.This address comprises of 32 bits divided in 4 sequence of numbers separated by a dot. For example 32.45.34.84 can be an IP adress of a networked device. Each of these 4 sequence is a decimal number from 0 to 255. Generally, computer communicates this number in binary format.
      To know your system ip address if it is a computer depends on the operating system in use. If your operating system is windows then you can follow the following ways:
      (i) Open a command prompt(Click on Start->Run and wirte 'cmd' in the box and press enter. The command prompt will open). Type the command 'ipconfig' and press enter. This will give you the details of your LAN connections, in which you will get your ip address.It is the number corresponding to your LAN card say
      eth0 35.23.166.11 ..................................
      (ii) Go to control panel ->network connections.There you will witness a LAN connection. Right click on it and select properties. Then in the pop up window select TCP/IP connection and click properties. There in the next popup window you will see in order your ip address,netmask,gateway.

      If your operating system is unix /Linux then open an terminal and type the command 'ifconfig' and you will get your ip address.
