What Is Orange Blossom Used For In Aromatherapy?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Orange Blossom, which is also known as Neroli, has a wide range of uses in aromatherapy, ranging from reputed aphrodisiac to relaxant.
It is thought to be one of the best oils to use when stress is an issue, since it assists in calming and soothing the nervous system.
Like any aromatherapy oil it is complementary in the sense that it should be used as a complement to conventional medicine, not as a replacement therapy.  So, if anxiety is deep rooted and severe, medical treatment should be sought.
If, however, you've had a bad day at the office, a tension headache and been stuck in traffic on the way home, then a few drops of Orange Blossom in the bath, can certainly raise spirits.
It is also thought to be helpful in treating scarring or dry, sensitive skin since it helps to rejuvenate skin.   Before use the oil should always be mixed with a carrier oil and never taken internally.
