There are also varieties of tofu in aseptic packages so it can stay shelf stable without refrigeration in the "Asian" or "ethnic" aisle if your local market.

Tofu is found generally in the dairy section because it has to stay cold. I have however seen it in the produce department in the vegetarian section as well.

You can find it in the fresh vegetable section. There are tons of kids. In our supermarket it is by the bagged salad and organic juices. Good luck.
