It is a crisis that is making the Darfur region in Sudan so important; currently the region is facing a humanitarian crisis that has its origin in the conflict that happened between Janjaweed militias with the rebellions. The conflict that is going on is known to the world as Sudan Liberation Movement and another one also that is known as Justice and Equality Movement.
If we take the case of the nomenclature of the region, it is derived from the Arabic language and the meaning that the name conveys is that of the home of the fur. The region is situated in the western part of Sudan and it shares international borders also. The countries with which the region shares its border include Chad, Libya and Central African Republic.
