How Do You Organize Yourself When Taking Notes?

Organising notes is very important when it comes to succeeding in academic or corporate life. Here are some tips on how to organise your notes in an effective manner:

Star organising before the lecture or meeting. Write down the date and the topic for the day. Keep your materials including pens, notebooks and highlighters handy.  Always keep sufficient paper and pens; you are always going to need them.

Take a place in the room where you can hear everything that is being discussed and keep an attentive ear in order not to miss out on anything.

At the end of the talk, make a note of what you did not understand and ask questions. Then, summarise the day's learning to make sure that you have understood everything. Write everything in points, not in paragraphs.
