It can be an interesting and fast paced job. And it has an interesting fringe benefit: When you are not working you can generally fly anywhere for free.
This is not restricked to only the airline you work for, most airlines have deals made with other airlines so all their workers fly free too.
Of course there are restrictions but pretty much if there is an empty seat you get to go.
