First you must get over your shyness. You need to show a girl that you are interested in her and talk to her. Become friends and see how truly interested you are in her. Then you will see the next steps you need to take like asking her to a dance or maybe meeting at the mall or something you both could do together (a date). One thing will lead to another but if you take no action, you will go nowhere with getting a girlfriend.

I noticed you said 'some girls' but understand that you must narrow that down and go after one at a time as girls do not like it when you go after several at a time.
