What Does The Concentration Of DNA Tell Us?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The genetic information which is carried by DNA concentration is held in a sequence of pieces of DNA. This sequence of pieces of DNA which carries genetic information is called genes. DNA is the abbreviation for deoxyribonucleic acid. DNA is defined as a nucleic acid which contains the genetic instructions which are for the development and functioning of living organisms.

All living things have genomes which contain DNA. There is a group of viruses, however, which has genomes that contain RNA, but that is possibly the only exception to the general rule. Viruses, however, are not considered as living organisms. The key role of DNA in the cell of a living organism is the long-term storage of genetic information.

Because a genome contains a set of instructions which are used to construct other components of the cell, including proteins and RNA molecules, the genome is usually compared to a set of blueprints.
