Pregnancy test is always positive if someone is pregnant and test is done on time and accurately. This test can not differentiate normal pregnancy from tubal pregnancy because pregnancy test kits detect levels of hCG which is hormone secreted by the fertilized egg regardless of normal or ectopic pregnancy. So, if you have ectopic pregnancy, test will be positive.
