The Dead sea is actually a lake of Salt which stretches between Israel and the West bank, it is 422 meters below sea level and is known as the deepest hyper saline lake in the world. It contains almost 33.7 % salt making it the most salty water body on Earth. This characteristic makes it too hostile for allowing any biological life to survive in it and that is why it is called The Dead Sea.
