Who Is Ben Affleck?

Ben Affleck is a famous Hollywood actor, who has also won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay with his friend Matt Damon. This was for the film 'Good Will Hunting' which was released in 1997.

Benjamin Geza Affleck-Boldt  was born in Berkeley, California on 15th August, 1972, but was raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

As a child, he starred in commercials, acted in small roles on TV and took part in drama classes where he met his best friend Matt Damon from the age of 8 years old.

After starring in his own screenplay 'Good Will Hunting' at the age of 25, Affleck was finally given the recognition he deserved and he has since become a massive success in Hollywood, starring in 'Armageddon', 'Shakespeare in Love' and 'Pearl Harbour'.

In his personal life, Affleck had a very public engagement with Jennifer Lopez, which suddenly ended in 2004 after months of the press speculating the date and location of their intended wedding.

He is now married to Jennifer Garner and the two actors have a daughter together named Violent Anne.
