Don't worry cats are attentive to their wounds, so he'll be licking his paws for awhile. Just give your kitty some extra loving as you would if your kitty just got done with any type of surgery like spaying and neutering; Make sure that he keeps his paws fairly clean and he should heal up fine. Best of luck.

The cat will be fine , they lick, they heal, as long as he's not crying, know that he's fine. In the long run you don't have to get him declawed.

I hope the cat came home from the vet without the claws and not just from wondering around outside!
They'll lick the wounds for a few days until everything heals. Watch that he doesn't chew on his feet. Don't "give him anything" unless the vet tells you to--just extra loving'.
If you're still concerned about this, call the vet that preformed the operation and ask about post-op problems.
