Wrong. Archaeologists learn about people from the past by studying what they leave behind; tools, trash, dwellings, etc... it is strictly about studying human past. rocks and fossils have little to nothing to do with archaeology...bones are studied to see what people were eating...occasionally human bones are studied for various reasons, but that's not the purpose. btw I'm an archaeologist.
