Apostasy literary means to oppose or neglect the God which is One and Only. After the death of Holy Prophet SAW and when Hazrat AbuBakr (RA) came to the seat of Caliphate, many of the tribes rose against Allah. The Muslims got a great setback due to this adversary attitude against Islam and Allah. This enraged whole of the Islamic community and society and they got ready to fight with the rebellions for the sake of Islam and Tauheed. Therefore Hazrat AbuBakr (RA) took some positive effects to protect the rights and honor of the Islamic society and its basis.
Most of all, he divided his Muslim army into 11 battalions under the leadership of some great and expert leader and sent each of them in different parts of Arabia. He instructed the commanders strictly to first invite the revolting tribes to Islam. But if they failed to comply, they were to be attacked. Some of the tribes converted back to Islam while the other remained adamant. So wars were waged against them. Within a year, the control of Islam was re-established throughout the peninsula.
