Napoleon Bonaparte born on 15th August 1769 was a well known commander during the French Revolution, the ruler of France as First Consul of the French Republic from 11th November 1799 to 18th May 1804.
Napoleon was in search of worldly rule, in simple words he wanted to conquer the entire world and rule it. As years passed by the French armies under his command battled nearly each and every European power and obtained control of most of the continent of Europe either via conquest or alliance.
The unsuccessful attack on Russia carried out in the year 1812 marked a turning point. Post the Russian crusade and the defeat at Leipzig in the year 1813, the Sixth Coalition marched into France, forcing Napoleon to run away in April 1814.
