Theatre in Balboa Park. Outdoor productions at The Old Globe or Starlight Bowl Musicals.
5 May - 16 June:
Grunion Run, join and watch with experts from Birth Aquarium. Saturday evenings, mostly from 10pm to midnight.
19 - 20 May:
Attend or even participate in the Southern California beach soccer champoinships. Oceanside, all manner of age and gender brackets.
3-5 June:
Snorkel with leopard sharks.
6-24 June:
Mainly Mozart Festival. AT various venues all over the city. Phone 619-239-0100.
24 June, 11am - 3pm:
7th Annual Taste of Adams Avenue. Nibble the best the eateries along these arteries can offer.
Until 7 July:
Play at being an Americas Cup yachts-person: Sign up to sail a boat and get to see behind the scenes training for the next Big race.
14 July,
Tapenade Bastille Day celebrations,
15 August: Music at Birch Aquarium.
As part of the Green Flash Seaside Summer Concert Series.
27-30 September:
6th Annual San Diego Film Festival. Gaslamp Quarter.
29-30 September:
Music festival on Adams Avenue (between Bancroft and 35th). Free music, plus crafts, food, beer gardens and carnival activities.
