First you need to copy the songs on the hard drive. Then you must have latest version of nero software. You can burn the dvd songs into a CD by an option in the nero software.

There are a few programmes that'll do this but most are rubbish - ripping from a DVD is more complicated by far than from a CD. I wouldn't bother with any of the allinone programmes, the method i'd use is long-winded but will get better results.

You'll need to download DVD Decrypter. If you don't know where to get this from or need more help then look on www.doom9.org - it's full of geeks who do this stuff all day.

First, rip the movie with DVD Decrypter. I take it you just want the movie audio, not the music from all the special features and stuff? In which case select the largest PGC on the list then choose Stream Processing. On the list that appears select the first English audio - it'll probably be labelled AC3 2CH. Don't get the 6CH one as that's surround sound and converting that to mp3 is amazingly painful.

Choose demux at the bottom and let it run. You'll end up with a filename.ac3 file on your hard drive. This is the soundtrack - you can probably play this in winamp, or certainly with foobar2000.

To convert it to mp3 - you can use dbpoweramp or most of your favourite audio playing programmes will convert it.

You need to extract audio off the dvd first and then burn it to CD.
