    John Tyler was the tenth president of United States from 1841 to 1845. John was born on 29th March of 1790 in Charles City county of United States. He was a practising lawyer before entering in the Virginia legislature in the year of 1811. He acted as a governor of Virginia from the 1825 to 1827. John was also in the United States House of Representatives (1817-1821) and senate (1827-1836). He was a slave holder in his personal life. In spite of that he was to prohibit the slavery in the District of Columbia and prohibited in Maryland and Virginia. He resigned from the senate and changed his vote of President Andrew Jackson.

    John came out from the Democratic Party and nominated as a Whig Party member for vice-president. Whig Party won the election of 1840 and William H. Harrison became the president. The president died after a month of taking the charge as a president. John Tyler got the post by-chance and became the tenth president of United States. In the case of National Bank Bill, John lost his seat because of withdrawn party support. He was nominated for re-election but John withdrew his nomination in favour of James Pollock and retired from his Virginia plantation.

    John Tyler organized the Washington Peace Conference in the year of 1861. He advocated Virginia to withdraw when senate rejected one of his proposed compromised. He was died on 18th January of 1862 in Richmond.
