Star Wars Day is the name of a number of events that relate to and celebrate the popular Star Wars series. May the 25th 2007 was known as Star Wars Day by the Los Angeles City County Council, as it marked the 30th anniversary of the release of the first instalment in the Star Wars series. Star Wars Day is also another name for May the 4th as when people say "May the 4th be with you" it sounds like "May the force be with you" which is a popular phrase used in the Star Wars films. There may be a series of other days that are known as Star Wars Day that have been labelled to honour the films.
