Why Do I Get An Error Two Instances Of Java Running?

Whenever I go to a site that requires java VM I get an error screen that says, "this page cannot be displayed, two instances of java running on same page." Something like that. Like at yahoo in games the applet window wont open, and other sites chat boxes wont come up. Please help me to fix this so I can play games and talk all day! Thank You!
