Can A Landlord Charge You For A Month's Rent When Your Lease States That It Is Due Later Than That Date?
I moved into my apartment on 6-8-07, gave them my security deposit. The lease then states that the first rent payment is due on or before 8-1-07. I paid for august; the chek cleared the bank, and now they are trying to tell me that i owe for july? Is this legal?
