Well, Rotation means going round and round on its axis, that causes day and night, and Revolution means going around the Sun which causes the change in seasons. Eg: Earth rotates on its axis and it causes the day and night and the total time it takes for one rotation is 24 Hrs, that's one day. Similarly the Earth takes 365 Days to complete one revolution around the Sun that's a year. Simple!
