Nigeria is a rich country that does not take care of it's own, the government is corrupt,keeping most of the profits from the sale of it's oil to themselves. After years of this the people have had to resort to other means of putting food on the table, the biggest victims are not you or I but fellow countrymen. Not a excuse for bad but I felt you might like some background

 There is nothing inborn in Nigerians that make them good scammers. Neither do they practice scamming all the time. There are plenty of decent people in Nigeria. The problem is that the Nigerians or the group of Nigerians who are involved in scamming are well known all around the world. And no one knows about the good people from Nigeria.
