Although Half Life 3 Is Already Available, Is It Worth Going For Half Life 2 Instead?

Half Life 3 is obviously the newer version of Half Life and whilst you can still purchase Half Life 1 and 2, the 3rd is definitely the one which most people are buying. However Half Life 2 was a best seller and it still remains equally popular today so if you do want to purchase it instead of the latest edition then there is no reason why you shouldn't.

Half Life 2 is a fairly intense action shooting game and the graphics really are amazing. The human characters within the game all have 40 different facial muscles which make them extremely lifelike. The game takes you through really realistic places and it truly is a unique experience playing Half Life 2. So yes overall the 2nd in the series is recommended even though the 3rd is already available now.

I'm unaware of Half Life 3 being out, if this were true I would already have it and most likely be spending endless hours playing it. I think you are mistaking Half Life 3 with Half Life 2 : Part One. If you do a search with your favorite search engine for Half Life 3 you will be bombarded with phrases such as "Half Life 3: Screenshots" or "Don't expect Half life 3 for a long time". So to answer your question, get Half Life 2, if you enjoy it, wait for HL 3 then buy it.
