This is a tricky philosophical issue involved here. One might say that some single people have really changed the world, but they simply wouldn't have done it without other people around them to help them. Hitler, Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, and other great and powerful people are considered to have made a personal difference to the world.

One person can make a difference because it takes individuals to make a group effort. For instance just you turning off your television set at night will contribute to saving energy. A small amount, but an amount nonetheless. Yet when a thousand of you do that in your city, together you make a big difference, yet without the individual effort you cannot get far at all!

One person can make a difference, but a group of people with similar goals can really make the most amazing differences too.

This reminds me of Knight Rider, which used to end with 'One man can make a difference!'.

Yes, one person can make a big difference not only on an individual but on the society as well provided his consciousness is above 600 level.

You must read "The Power Vs Force" by Dr. David Hawkins to understand the different level of human consciousness and its implications.
