Good topics for discussion are the current political situation, or music industry, movies, fashion, magazines or sports. Any topic in which she is interested would do.

Once you get the conversation started, you should get an idea of some of her interests so that you can lead into the next topic and usually, if she is interested, she will que in and begin also speaking of some things that interest you and soon you will find things you both enjoy. Conversation is both speaking and listening.
