There are 4 main grand slam events in tennis. These grand slams are Wimbledon, French open, Australian open and U.S open. Hundreds of other tournaments are also played every year. ITF (international tennis federation) looks after the matters of tennis world wide. There are two other organizations as well. These are Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and Women's Tennis Association (WTA).
