I graduated high school in 1967, and the price of gas was 30-35 cents a gallon depending on which brand you bought. There was also a thing called "gas wars" back then. To boost business, usually two stations at the same intersection, one would lower his price a penny, the other one would lower his a penny below the other guys, and so on. Today we know the end result of the gas wars. GAS WON!!
