Who Will Win The 2009 Kentucky Derby?

Answer Question

It is way too early to tell who will win the 2009 Kentucky Derby Grade I race at Churchill Downs.  These are young 3-year-old horses now just starting to come into form.  It may take another month to truly identify the real contenders.  A fantastic website with great general information on all the contenders as well as the ability to race these virtual contenders against each other is www.horseracegame.com  This site is loaded with rich racing information and is also the best of all horse racing games I've ever played.  As far as who the potential winners are for this year's Kentucky Derby, from my 10-year experience as professional handicapper, my five top contenders are Captain Candyman Can, Chocolate Candy, Giant Oak, Vineyard Haven and Old Fashioned.  Based on their breeding, their training and their recent performances, these horses look like they are the best contenders.  But, just as you would expect, this can change on a daily basis.

Well I hope it is my long shot, General Quarters, Since handicapping never has earned me any winners, I went with a sentiment, as my son is in the MILITARY, and he is my Winner!

Mine That Bird won the 2009 Kentucky Derby.  It was sad because Eight Belles wasn't there.
